Chartered Insitute of Public Relations
PRCA

Industry Bodies
The Livery movement regards training, education and the promotion of standards and practices as crucial to the development and integrity of its trades and professions.
The Guild therefore collaborates with both the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) and Public Relations Consultants Association (PRCA) to ensure the industry ‘at large’ achieves a coherent approach to its own development while making a difference to the communities it serves.
Promoting best practice is an objective the Guild shares with the CIPR and PRCA, which help professionals acquire skills and knowledge that will enhance their value to employers clients.
The Guild is an additional forum, open to those in public relations who share our commitment to enhancing and promoting the value of our profession, and for putting something back into the community, particularly through charitable giving and fund-raising.
The Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) is the advocate and voice of the public relations profession, a champion of professional interests and a body that works in the public interest.
Membership of the CIPR is on an individual basis, offering membership to PR practitioners at all levels in their careers and in all sectors, from those working in–house to consultancies, independent and freelance practitioners, both nationally and internationally.
The PRCA is a professional body representing UK PR consultancies, in-house communications teams, PR freelancers and individuals. The PRCA promotes all aspects of public relations work.
The Association exists to raise standards in PR and communications, providing members with industry data, facilitating the sharing of communications best practice and creating networking opportunities. All PRCA members are bound by a professional charter and codes of conduct.
