The Public Relations Practitioners' Charitable Trust was established to fulfil the charitable aims of the Guild. In particular, the Guild’s aim is to support causes that are relevant to communication. The Trustees therefore favour charities that support people whose ability to communicate or enjoy the benefit of
communication is severely impaired.
Organisations who have recently received grants from the Trust include:
The Be Your Best Foundation, to support the Rock Challenge (see information from the Master).
Dyslexia Action, the UK’s leading provider of services and support for people with dyslexia and literacy difficulties.
The National Institute for Conductive Education, which provides conductive services for children and adults with motor disorders and other eligible conditions.
Mudchute Park and Farm, situated on the edge of the City of London in Tower Hamlets, one of the most deprived areas of the country, where the Education programme includes programmes for children with disabilities such as autism.
The Lord Mayor’s Appeal 2008, which supported the two charities Wellbeing of Women and ORBIS.
All our Freemen (members) contribute to the Trust by means of an annual donation, and by their participation in various fundraising activities.
